ABOUT ERIN

Hi I’m Erin. I became an editor and book coach because I have always loved all things words and books. I’ve been an avid reader and writer all my life, so becoming an editor felt like a natural choice. And when I learned about book coaching, I knew it was the calling I didn’t know I was still missing.

While studying nonfiction developmental editing, I fell in love with learning how to examine a nonfiction book manuscript and analyze it for completeness, clarity, organization, and flow, and when I learned about nonfiction book coaching, I realized I could teach writers these valuable lessons before they wrote their manuscripts rather than after, so they could write their books the right way, right away!

I also learned while studying developmental editing that I especially love editing transformational books that offer their readers a transformative journey, and that I implicitly understand the process of transformation, as I wrote a book myself about a transformative spiritual practice I developed. Through my work in Author Accelerator’s Nonfiction Book Coaching course, I was inspired to develop my own strategy for planning and organizing a transformational book, which is my Roadmap to Writing Your Transformational, Client-Attracting Book with Confidence package.

And I’ve learned I really love working with the soul-centered coaches, healers, and therapists writing these books, whose work aspires to make our world a brighter place. I am honored to be a part of bringing your work to a wider audience, to helping you impact more lives, including your own, as we together uplift each other in our collaborations.

I’ve taken proofreading and editing training with Edit Republic, Editorial Arts Academy, and the Editorial Freelancers Association, and am certified as a nonfiction book coach by Author Accelerator. I am a member in good standing of the Norwest Editors Guild, and I’ve provided editing services for publishers, indie writers, and online publications.

In 2021, I served as a managing editor for VoiceCatcher, an online women’s literary journal publishing art, poetry, and prose by women of the Pacific Northwest.

I’m a co-author of the international Amazon best-seller, Get Published: Industry Experts Share Their Secrets, and LA Weekly named me as one of its “15 Book Coaches to Watch in 2023.”

Under my pen and stage name Erin Aurelia, I write and perform poetry, and publish books. In 2023, I published my first book called The Torch of Brighid: Flametending for Transformation, and in 2024 I published a volume of poetry titled Bone & Stars: A Constellation of Poems of Healing and Recovery from Narcissistic Abuse. I enjoy performing my poetry around town at open mics and shows, accompanied by my favorite local musicians.

Spending my days with soul-centered writers and my evenings with poets and musicians means I am always surrounded by fellow creative people who love words as much as I do! Nothing lifts my spirits more.

I am also the mother of two grown sons. I reside in Washington State in the US with more shelves of books than should reasonably fit into one apartment and more books than I will complete reading in this lifestime. And yes . . . I will buy more.
