Roadmap to Writing Your Transformational, Client-Attracting Book with Confidence

Through 7 simple, sequential steps, I will help you clarify your book’s foundations so you can create strong outlines for the arc of your book itself, its Introduction, and each of its chapters, which will all guide you in writing your book with confidence and ease. From your outlines, you will also draft and revise your Introduction and first two chapters, so you will learn exactly how to write all your chapters. I will provide a workbook that guides you in planning and chapterizing your book, templates for outlining your Introduction and chapters, and two rounds of feedback on all your foundational and outlining work, and your first two chapters that you will write from your outlines. I will also help you create a writing schedule and a roadmap to completing your book so you can determine how much time you will need to write it and when you can estimate you will finish it. I will also introduce you to the stages of editing a completed manuscript goes through so you’l know what to expect when you’re ready for editing, and to the various routes available for publishing your book. This package encompasses a 3-month process and includes 3 coaching calls. The investment for the Roadmap package is $3000 in full, or two payments of $1750.

Craft a Knock-Out Book Proposal with Ease

If you’d like to seek a traditional publishing deal, you will need to craft a book proposal to pitch your book to agents and publishers, and if you would like to continue working with me after you complete the Roadmap to Writing Your Transformational, Client-Attracting Book with Confidence package, you can opt to work me as I coach you through crafting your book proposal. In this package, you’ll come out with a knockout book proposal that will showcase the unique and powerful message you want to share in your book and why you are the right person to write it to help you land the book deal of your dreams. This package encompasses 3 months and includes 3 coaching calls. The investment for the Book Proposal package is $3000 in full, or 2 payments of $1750 each.

Prepare a Pitch-Perfect Pitch Plan

After we’ve crafted your knockout book proposal, you’ll need to draft a query letter to send to agents and publishers. You’ll also need to know where to find the agents and publishers who will be excited about your book, and know how to craft a pitch strategy to help you land the book deal of your dreams. In my Pitch Perfect package, I’ll show you how to write a query letter to get you noticed, where to look for the agents and publishers that will be right for your book, what you must know about pitching to agents and publishers to get in the door, and how to put together a winning pitching strategy, plus I’ll provide two rounds of editorial feedback and three coaching calls over 3 months to work through all the kinks with you until your pitch plan is pitch perfect. The investment for this Pitch Plan package is $3000 in full, or two payments of $1750.

Especially if you intend to self-publish, whether on your own or with a hybrid publishing company, you will want to ensure your book is thoroughly professionally edited and polished so it can be the best vehicle it can be for carrying your voice and vision to the world.

I offer developmental and line editing, copy editing, and proofreading services. Each stage of editing must be undertaken in order and its quality adequately addressed before moving on to the next stage.

I provide thorough guidance at each stage so you’ll know just how to proceed with your revisions to create your best book. Each project is priced individually based on its needed scope of work, and consists of a single pass each. Additional passes can be requested and will incur additional cost. The estimated costs below refer to a 50k-word manuscript; you can add or subtract cost depending on the length of your manuscript to estimate your cost.

Developmental and line editing is the the first stage of editing a manuscript needs, to help you gain editorial guidance on your book’s clarity, completeness, organization, flow, voice, and ability to connect with its reader. This feedback will let you know what in your manuscript is working well, what could be improved to make it even stronger, and how you can make those improvements. Then you will know just how to best revise your manuscript to make your book the best it can be. I complete a developmental edit in 4 weeks. I price each project individually based on its needs. The average investment for my developmental editing a 50k-word manuscript will be between $2000 and $2500.

Copy editing is what your manuscript is ready for after its development has been reviewed, edited, and revised. Copy editng ensures all grammatical errors like spelling, syntax, and punctuation are corrected so your voice is clear and the reader can enjoy a smooth reading experience. The average investment for my copyediting a 50k-word manuscript will be between $1750 and $2000.

Proofreading is the final editing stage, to give your manuscript the final polish it needs to make it ready it for publishing. This stage ensures all grammatical and syntactical errors have been corrected and all formatting is correct and consistent. The average investment for my proofreading a 50k-word manuscript will be between $1000 and $1500.

Get Editorial Guidance on That Book You Started Writing

Have you just begun writing a book? Wondering if you’re on the right track? My First 50 Pages package can help you answer that question. I will review a 1-page synopsis of your book, an annotated table of contents (a table of contents with chapter titles, page numbers, and brief descriptions of each chapter), and your first 50 pages and assess them for clarity, cohesion, organisation, flow, and ability to connect with your intended reader. I will provide helpful notes in your manuscript and an editorial letter in which I will detail what about your pages is working so far, what could be improved to make them even better, and how you can make those changes so you can move foward with your project with the confidence that you are writing your best book. The investment for my First 50 Pages package is $300 in full, or two payments of $175 each.
